Which Workshop is Right for You?

Each session is crafted to be hands-on and accessible, but we are covering different ground at each stop:

  • The Fundamentals (April 4th): A high-level introduction. If you’ve ever wondered "how do they even do that?", this free session at Seed School is the perfect entry point.

  • The Deep Dive (April 11th & 18th): Our 101 course at Mushroom Street Farms covers the technical side of cultivation. We’ll talk substrate, inoculation, and troubleshooting your first grow.

  • Accessible Cultivation Methods: (April 25th): Hosted at Joppy Momma's Farm, this session focuses on "low-tech" methods to get you started and growing mushrooms quickly.

  • The Grand Finale (May 2nd): Join us at the Bloomverse Plant Expo! This is a fantastic opportunity for the rare tropical houseplant community to see how fungi and exotic plants can thrive in the same ecosystem.

Why Cultivate Mushrooms?

Beyond the delicious harvest, mushroom growing is a lesson in sustainability and biology. It allows you to:

  1. Reduce Waste: Transform cardboard, coffee grounds, or straw into high-quality protein.

  2. Boost Your Garden: Use spent mushroom substrate to supercharge your soil health.

  3. Learn a Skill: Once you understand the life cycle of mycelium, you can grow almost anywhere.

Note: Spaces for the hands-on sessions are limited to ensure everyone gets direct instruction and leaves with the knowledge (and materials) to start growing immediately.
